Ancestral Healing Work

I've always been interested in my ancestry and have spent time in the past digging into records, but I want to come at it from more of a spiritual angle as well. We often talk about ancestral energy/healing past trauma that isn't necessarily ours but that of our ancestors. Does anyone have any experience or advice here on where to begin? Are there any books or blogs specifically on the topic of healing the past? Recommendations?
