Heavy Duty Power Cakes
This is my current pre workout setup. Simple. Effective. No nonsense. Fage yogurt, either 0% or 2%.I usually go with the 2% because it’s a little creamier and just tastes better. The 5% is too high in fat and calories for me most of the time when I’m keeping things tight. Now… if I’m running carbs really low and going more aggressive, that’s when I’ll push fats up a bit. In that case, 2% or even 5% can work. So it always depends on what you’re doing. Low carbs, you can bring fats up Higher carbs, keep fats lower Right now I’m keeping calories low overall, so 2% is the sweet spot for me. Two or 3 rice cakes, a few Strawberries on top . About 45 minutes before training Gives me enough fuel, keeps blood glucose stable, and I don’t feel flat going into the workout. And yeah… it actually tastes damn good. This is how you finish the day when you actually care about progress. Colossal shrimp. Ahi tuna (light sauce — one teaspoon, not the whole sugar bomb). Portobello mushrooms (olive oil spray, garlic, pepper). Shredded lettuce and tomatoes with a light vinegar/oil. That’s it. High protein. Almost zero carbs. Zero nonsense. Most people don’t get out of shape from one bad meal… They get out of shape from all the little “extras” they don’t control. The sauces. The dressings. The “just a little more.” That’s where you lose. This meal does one thing: Feeds recovery without storing fat. No spikes. No garbage. No excuses. My go-to right now is Black Rifle Coffee – Beyond Black. Strong as hell. No nonsense. I run two cups before cardio, then a couple more while I’m working, updating the sites and Heavy Duty Nation. And yeah… always black. That’s how it should be done. Quick reality check… Coffee isn’t hurting you if you use it right. It actually helps. Caffeine wakes up your nervous system, cuts fatigue, and sharpens focus. That’s why you feel locked in after a cup. It also bumps adrenaline a bit, which helps your body tap into stored fat easier. HDN Update – Shredding Mode Quick update for the Heavy Duty Nation crew. Since December 20th, I’ve been in full cutting mode.Started at 256 lbs. Current weight: 236 lbs. So that’s 20 pounds down so far, and the goal isn’t a contest — the goal is simply top condition. Lean, sharp, and below 10% body fat.
