My bush is the reason I havenโt gone swimming in 6 months. (Yes, weโre starting there. Buckle up.)
I havenโt gone swimming in months. Not because Iโm busy. Not because I forgot. But becauseโฆ I didnโt shave my bush. Yup. Thatโs it. My overgrown lady jungle is out here blocking my joy. And I let it. Thereโs a pool five minutes from my house. Swimming is literal therapy for my ๐ฃ๐ฐ๐ฅ๐บ, ๐ฃ๐ณ๐ข๐ช๐ฏ, ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ ๐ด๐ฐ๐ถ๐ญ. Water gets me in flow โ literally and figuratively. And stillโฆ Iโve been sitting here like: โHmmโฆ canโt go yet. Iโm not ready.โ Translation? Iโm not perfectly groomed. Not totally prepped. Not fully โpresentable.โ Sounds ridiculous when I say it out loud. But I know Iโm not the only one. We all do this โ just with different excuses: ๐ฅ๏ธ โIโll launch when the siteโs done.โ ๐งโโ๏ธ โIโll go live when I lose 10 pounds.โ ๐ฆ โIโll pitch once the offerโs perfect.โ ๐ง โIโll show up when Iโve healed that last trauma.โ Let me say it louder: Your bush is not the problem. Your thighs are not the problem. Your half-finished backend is not the problem. โจ Your nervous system is just scared of being seen. Youโve been trained to believe: โ ๏ธ Itโs not safe to be visible unless youโre polished, edited, and 10 steps ahead. But the truth? ๐ The water doesnโt care if you shaved. ๐ช Your dream clients donโt care if your branding is 100% cohesive. ๐ฎ Your purpose doesnโt care if youโve โhealed enough.โ It just wants you to get in the damn pool. So hereโs your nudge โ and mine: ๐ฉฑ Put on the suit. ๐ถโโ๏ธ Walk to the pool. ๐ฅ Do the scary thing before you feel โready.โ Because if you wait until everythingโs smooth, shiny, and perfectโฆ Youโll miss the whole damn point of being alive.
