I think there is a good chunk of the population avoid Polyester, Nylon and other thermoplastics. This is GOOD! The less plastic we have rubbing against our skin the better, especially when it comes to workout clothes. The lesser known villain of the clothing world are the DYES that are present in nearly all clothing (cotton too).
Alden Wicker, the journalist who investigated the 2018 Delta Airlines Uniforms that were giving flight attendants rashes, found that the dyes that are within our clothes can contain fungicides, pesticides, PFAS and more. Furthermore, just one article of clothing can contain up to 3000 (!) mystery chemicals we aren't aware of because there is no ingredient list for a shirt.
