All you have to do is win 4 out of the 7 days. Sometimes I get way too wrapped up in trying to optimize every day. Working out, hitting 10k steps and stretching seven days a week. Trying to cook 21 meals a week. Avoiding all seed oils, refined sugar, social media. Building this community, filming and editing one youtube video a week. In bed by 10pm everyday. On top of my day job. There is a lot I am trying to accomplish and I often forget to take care of myself and enjoy my life. I remind myself to just "win the week." Which is winning 4 of 7 days. I don't need to optimize every single day or else I'll just get hung up in the small details and things I miss. Using this strategy, it often gives me more fuel to get after the things I need to hit. And naturally, I'll achieve more in a week than if I hold myself to such a rigorous standard. What do you think? Do you over-optimize? TLDR; over-optimizing leads to burn out. Be comfortable unoptimizing for just 3 days a week.
