Trying to pivot my career path

Hey guys! I’ve been in the sales world for about 18 years as a Sommelier and Benefit advisor. I enjoy finding new business and developing that relationship. My father and uncles are all truck drivers and have been the majority of my life.I’ve been really curious about freight and with my background and education I’m particularly drawn to international freight. Ive had the chance to hunt around at different brokers and see if anyone is willing to train or what an entry level position would look like, but without an existing book of business no one is really giving me the time of day.

I’m currently enrolled in some online courses so I can learn the basics and attempt to make myself less of a risk, but I could use any and all advice from all of you savants currently in the field!
