Freight Brokers & Forwarders – Would This Automation Be Useful?
I’ve been working on an automation that helps find verified shipper leads with direct contact details (email + phone). Instead of manually scraping databases or relying only on referrals, this automation gathers the information in an organized way so brokers/forwarders can focus more on outreach and closing loads rather than searching. The goal is to: - Save time on prospecting - Provide qualified shipper leads with verified contacts - Make it easier to build your shipper network consistently I’m curious – for those of you in freight brokerage / freight forwarding, do you see this kind of automation making a real difference in day-to-day operations? Would love to hear your thoughts!

Can AI Really Help Brokers Save Time on Lane Pricing?
I’m exploring an AI Pricing & Bidding Agent for Freight Brokers and wanted to get some thoughts from this community. The idea is to build an automation that: - Collects market lane rates (from open data/sources) - Analyzes past load history - Suggests competitive yet profitable bid prices in real time - Helps smaller brokers without a full pricing team compete with mid-size players I don’t have access to expensive APIs yet, so I’m looking at open data and possible workarounds to get this moving. 👉 Do you think something like this would actually be useful for small/mid brokers?👉 Would it help in day-to-day decision making, or is pricing too “relationship-based” for automation to really help? I’d love to hear your honest feedback! 🙌

@Bill Robinson I completely understand your point. Rates from DAT, ITS, or even AI models alone can’t capture the full picture of moving freight. What I'm building is not meant to replace a broker’s market knowledge—it’s designed to give directional insights by analyzing historical lane data, weekly trends, and recent reports. The goal is not to generate “perfect” rates, but to help brokers quickly see patterns, compare with their own knowledge, and spot margins. That way, you’re not depending 100% on outside tools, but using AI as an assistant to strengthen your decisions. Would love to get your thoughts—do you see value in such a tool if it helps you move faster without depending fully on big-broker rate sheets?

@Bill Robinson Instead of just copying a rate, I can build a margin prediction model using historical + weekly free reports + market signals. what's your thoughts on this kind of automation?
On Vacation?
On vacation? No problem! This is one of the best things about running a freight brokerage. The equipment needed is so minimal you can bring your business anywhere! This is so important as until you are able to hire employees to handle your business while you are away any missed call can be an open door for your competitor!

Hey @Anthony Lanciano, I have built an automation that extracts the active carriers list form FMCSA, If you are interested I would love to share a demo with you
🚛 Automated Carrier Discovery for Dispatchers – No Manual Work Needed! ⚙️
Hey everyone! 👋 I just started building a full automation in n8n that helps you find active FMCSA-registered carriers, filtered by state (like TX, CA, etc.) — automatically every week. 🔍 What it does: - Connects directly to FMCSA’s FTP server - Downloads the latest carrier list - Filters only ACTIVE carriers from the state you want - Stores them neatly in Google Sheets - ⚡️ No more manual searching, no CSV downloads, no outdated data! This is super useful if you :✅ Run a dispatch agency ✅ Sell compliance, insurance, or factoring ✅ Offer ELD, recruiting, or cold call outreach If anyone here is working on similar workflows, wants help setting it up, or wants to collaborate — let’s connect! comment "Auto" or DM me #automation #dispatch #trucking #FMCSA #carriers #logistics #nocode
