My biggest challenge
I was lucky enough to find a client within 2 months of getting my business license. Unfortunately, though, since then (Feb of this year), I have not gotten another client. At first, I was primarily purchasing leads off of Bark.com, which is where I got my first client, but the issue with this was, for my income brackett, it's too expensive - $100/mo for the membership, plus each lead costs anywhere between $30-$100! After I decided to end that membership, I subscribed to SalesGenie, which is essentially a database of millions of businesses that lists "Intent" data, for what any computer within that company's IP address had searched for - not all that helpful. So, I hired a sales/marketing rep to reach out to some of the businesses that matched what I thought was applicable "intent" data... granted, I don't know the exact extent to which the sales rep was reaching out at, but that fell flat, also. Finally (most recently), I had a consultation with a proven LinkedIn leverager who is still waiting on me to give the ready to move forward with his one-on-one coaching for developing enticing, relevant and valuable LinkedIn posts to gather interest in my services. All that to say, I have not found a sound, affordable, reliable way of reaching clients. Granted, I still need to narrow down a niche, but that's where I'm at. I would like to gain 2 more clients in the next 3 months - this is my goal, but in order to do that, I still need to outline the conversations I will need to guide a potential client through for when I do get a call inquiring for services.
