Week 5 is LIVE: Client Sources + Focus
This week we’re shifting from “how to handle conversations” to where opportunities actually come from. The goal is to pick 1 primary + 1 secondary client source you can run consistently for 30 days — without doing everything. When you finish the exercises, drop your Week 5 deliverable in the Lab so we can help you tighten your plan and make it realistic. **Week 5 content is now LIVE in the Classroom > 12-Week Freelance Roadmap > Week 5: Client + Focus Let’s build something repeatable. 👊

Week 4 is LIVE: From Conversation to Opportunity
Week 4 is now live in the classroom. Up to this point, we’ve focused on: - getting clear on what you do (Week 1) - turning that clarity into a real offer (Week 2) - talking about it naturally (Week 3) This week is about what happens next. Not every conversation should turn into an opportunity. But the right ones shouldn’t stall either. Week 4 is about learning how to move the right conversations forward — calmly, confidently, and without pressure. What we’re working on this week: - Recognizing real buying signals vs polite interest - Knowing when to lean in — and when to step back - Asking better questions instead of pitching - Suggesting next steps without forcing timing If you’ve ever felt unsure about: - when to bring up a next step - how to avoid sounding salesy - or why some good conversations never go anywhere …this week should help a lot. This week the goal isn’t to “close more deals”. It’s to build better judgment and more control inside conversations. Work through the lessons and exercises in order, and pay attention to: - where conversations naturally open up - where you might be pushing too early - where you might be holding back unnecessarily That awareness is the win. Hope this helps…let us know if you have any questions! - Tom

Week 3 is LIVE: Creating Real Conversations
In Week 1, we focused on clarity. In Week 2, we turned that clarity into a clear offer. Week 3 is where things start to move. This week is about how your offer shows up in real conversations — without scripts, pressure, or selling. We’ll focus on: - Talking about what you do without pitching - Starting conversations that feel natural - Creating momentum through clarity, not tactics Most people stall here not because they lack skill, but because they’re unsure how to introduce what they do confidently. That’s what this week is designed to help with. Week 3 content is now live in the Classroom > 12-Week Freelance Roadmap > Week 3: Creating Real Conversations Take your time with it — the goal is comfort, not speed. We’ll keep building from here. — Tom

Appreciate that, @Muhammad Haris — really glad it was helpful. 🙌 And yes, happy to take a look when you DM.
Catching up
Hi there, I've unfortunately been a bit out of this community since joining it late last year, with quite a lot of stuff I've had to get sorted out (also to be absolutely honest the time zone of the sessions puts them just at the time I'm normally getting my 3 year old daughter to bed) but I'd really like to catch up with what you've been talking about and the 12 week challenge. I see some text summaries of the first 2 weeks - do you have any video recordings that I can watch?

Hey @Galen Brown — really appreciate you sharing this. And totally get it… life + kids + time zones can throw everything off 😄 The good news is there’s no penalty for stepping away. The Lab is designed to be worked through in order and at your own pace — not rushed, not binged. When you jump back in, just start with Week 1, do the exercises, do the lessons, and move forward from there. Everything intentionally builds. Missing time doesn’t break anything. It’s the same idea as getting back into the gym or routines — you don’t fast-forward, you just start where you left off and stay consistent. We do plan to add more video content over time as the community grows, but for now the written lessons are enough to make real progress if you take them step by step. Glad you’re here — and happy to help however makes re-entry easiest. Feel free to reach out anytime!
Week 2 is LIVE: Turning Clarity Into a Clear Offer
Last week, we focused on clarity before action: - Who you help - What problem you solve - What outcome you create That work matters—because clarity without translation still leaves people stuck. Week 2 is about turning that clarity into a clear, confident offer. Not hype. Not pressure. Not clever tactics. Just something people understand and can say yes to. Inside Week 2, we cover: - What an offer actually is (and what it isn’t) - How to translate clarity into plain, business-ready language - Why confidence comes from clarity—not scripts - Practical exercises to pressure-test your offer before you use it in the real world If you’ve ever felt awkward explaining what you do—or unsure how to talk about it without over-explaining—this week is for you. 👉 Head to the Classroom → 12-Week Freelance Roadmap → Week 2: Turning Clarity Into a Clear Offer We’ll keep building from here.
