Sometimes distractions aren’t the enemy, they’re invitations.
Every time my mind wanders, I’ve been asking: what is this moment trying to pull my attention toward? or away from?
Instead of fighting the distraction, I use it as a mirror.
If I’m scrolling, maybe I’m craving connection.
If I’m snacking, maybe I need a break.. not more willpower.
If I'm watching TV maybe I'm trying to escape OR decompress
No matter how I try to distract myself, it becomes a new awareness when I pause long enough to listen.
Curious, what’s one distraction that actually taught you something about yourself recently?
