God Goes Beyond
Cool discovery! Acts 14:8-10 Paul is preaching in Lystra when he notices a man who has been disabled from birth and has never walked. As the man listens, Paul sees that he has faith to be healed. Paul calls out loudly for him to stand up—and the man jumps to his feet and begins walking. Never caught this... the man's feet were not just healed. The man was healed and then able to do something he had never done before. He had never walked. He had never learned to walk (brain, Muscle, balance) He would not have had the coordination, or the muscle. He'd never done it! Not only did he walk. He "lept" and walked. God is able to do abundantly more than. We can ask or think (Eph 3:20) As much as I try not to, I know i still put God in a box. The things I am praying about right now, honestly I am praying in doubt because I dont see any possible way. God has given so many examples, both in scripture and in life already. Lord, help my unbelief. Where are you limiting God in your life? Where have you already seen Him do abundantly more than you could ask or think?

Sharing For His Glory and Our Fellowship
1 John 1:1-4 " We proclaim to you the one who existed from the beginning, whom we have heard and seen. We saw Him with out own eyes and touched Him with our own hands. He is the word of life. This one who is life itself was revealed to us, and we have seen Him. And now, we testify and proclaim to you that He is the one who is eternal life. He was with the Father, and then He was revealed to us. We proclaim to you what we ourselves have actually seen and heard so that you may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son, Jesus Christ. We are writing these things so that you may fully share our joy." I was reminded here that our experiences with Jesus are meant to be shared. It is not just my testimony of coming to Christ that God wants to use, it is all of my experiences; the answered prayers, every time He meets me where I am at, my failures and His forgiveness, the peace He gives in my circumstances, the ways He draws me close... These are beautiful and personal, but they are also meant to be shared so that others may be drawn to Him. These experiences also draw us together as a church, as a community, as brothers and sisters. I do not share His work in my life, well, hardly at all. I feel it, see it, praise Him for it, and then... I kind of keep it to myself most of the time. What experience have you had recently with Christ that really should be shared? Feel free to start with us ;)
Living In Him- How do I know?
"But those who obey God's word truly show how completely they love Him. Those who say they live in God should live their lives as Jesus did." 1 John 2:5-6 NLT I'd like to think that I show how completely I love the Lord, but this verse definitely reveals my lacking. I love Him, but, how Completely do I love Him? The word Truly means; without deception or exaggeration. Authentically, not superficially. In a way that is honest and sincere. Completely means; Fully or entirely — with nothing lacking or left out. To the greatest possible extent — totally, without limit. In every way — affecting all parts or aspects. The way to show that I love Him in such a way is to obey His word. For a minute this is discouraging... can I love in such a way? Holding nothing back? Full depth and not surface love? Does my love for Him affect all parts and every aspect of my life? Man, I sure want it to! Where there will be days I fall short and put something or someone before my obedience and love for God, I will strive to love Him with my whole heart and actions. Tell me your thoughts? 1. How does love for God motivate obedience? 2. In what area of life are you lacking obedience to God's word? 3. How can that change?

Psalm 44- Where Are You, God?
Psalm 44 is a communal lament. The key is to note how these people approached God in their suffering. Give it a read, and come back.... I'll wait.... The first 8 verses are the anchor example. The psalm is all about their suffering, and their confusion because they are faithful believers, yet are suffering greatly. They openly ask God why He has not taken notice. But... the first 8 verses are their acknowledgment of the work He has done. It is so important that we do not forget the work God has done. This is our anchor in times of difficulty. God has already shown us who He is, and we must not lose sight of that. God invites our open laments, our cries, our questions about what He is doing or not doing. It is not a lack of faith to question what God is doing.... but it is a whole different thing to question who God is. God is unchanging. He is the same God who rescued you yesterday, and today is no different. When in suffering and trials, look back at what He has already done. The Israelites are told over and over again in the OT to Remember. We must do the same. Make a list. Sit and recall all that you can in your life where you can see God's hand, providence, sovereignty, positioning, rescue, intervention, mercy, deliverance, etc. Keep this list where you can see it. Do not forget- let the list be your monument. God bless you, sisters!
Honor God With Your Body
📖 1 Corinthians 6:19–20 (NLT) “Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body.” What does it mean to honor God with our bodies? First, what does it mean to honor? To honor means to; Respect, Value, have an attitude of reverence for... In practical terms, to honor another is to speak truthfully and graciously about them, act in ways that protect, uphold, and bless them, make choices that reflect their God given value even when it costs you, and give proper weight to a role, relationship or responsibility. Ladies, this is how we are supposed to treat OUR BODIES! When was the last time you showed respect and value to your body? ( Giving it proper nutrients, rest, care, exercise) Do you speak truthfully or graciously about your body? Or is it your object of ridicule; constantly being put down, shamed, compared, etc? Do you make choices for your body that reflect its God given value? Do you act in ways that protect, uphold, and bless your body? ( Consider the habits, the nutrients, hydration. Do you strive to give your body what it needs to thrive and serve God well? Or do you withhold what it needs to try to look a certain way instead? Honest questions for all of us. I did not even get in to the first part of the scripture! This is enough to pray about for now. 1. In what ways do you need to work on honoring your body? 2. List one or two practical action steps you can take to make this change. 3. Share with us!
