Motivational Monday - Mind Over Body
"The body achieves what the mind believes." β€” Napoleon Hill A reminder that you are only limited by what you believe you can do. Your body is more capable than you realize. It can grow, adapt and if prepared enough, break records. Believe in yourself and what your body can do, see it, and then execute. Even if it doesn't always go exactly how we imagine, the belief helps us push ourselves to new levels we may not have thought possible. So if there is a weight that feels scary to lift, a technique that seems too difficult to do or any training milestone that feels out of reach - I challenge you to believe in achieving it, see it and train yourself to incrementally get there without fear. Lets train hard this week guys πŸ’ͺ

Monday Motivation
"It's not that I'm the best. I just believe I can do things that others believe is impossible." - Anderson Silva UFC Legend The power of belief is the most powerful tool in your arsenal. If you believe first in yourself, the ability and results follow. Whatever your training goals are, wherever you are in your fitness/training level, set deep powerful beliefs - then get after it! Let's crush this week πŸ’ͺ
The Key πŸ”‘ to UFC Champion Striking
Found a goldmine video that really explains just how smart and technical Sean Strickland is with his striking. This really shows how he became the 2x UFC champion simply off of his Jab. He has perfected the art of not telegraphing. Something I plan to work on more! What do you guys think? Anybody who spars or fights that trains their strikes to be non telegraphing?
Trap Setting To Improve Sparring!
If you're someone who spars or actively competes check this video out by multiple world kickboxing champion Gabriel Varga! He captures how to improve sparring with by setting up traps πŸͺ€ Land a key combo a few times that works on your opponent, get them primed to feel it coming again, then BOOM hit them with something else πŸ’ͺ I'm definitely guilty of getting too caught up in my offensive game at times or just being in the moment so I don't think about doing this enough. Will plan to work on this in my next sparring session! Anyone here spars or competes? If so, how often do you add trap setting to your game? Is this something you need to work on too? Let me know!
