For the last 28 days, I ran a little experiment on my own personal brand.
I wanted to test something simple:
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝗳 𝗜 𝗳𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀 𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗽𝗶𝗲𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲?
So instead of spending all my time polishing one piece of content, I started repurposing my long-form videos into Shorts and posts across different platforms.
The results:
YouTube → ~5x views
Instagram → ~5.7K reach
LinkedIn → 3K+ impressions
Facebook → started getting reach
Calls → 𝟮𝟴 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗰 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀
But the biggest lesson wasn't “post more.”
It was:
𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘁 → 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 → 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗳𝘆 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀 → 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀.
I put the entire experiment into a video and showed the actual analytics instead of just talking about the theory.
Would love to know whether you're currently optimizing for 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗼𝗿 𝗯𝗼𝘁𝗵.
