The most valuable math you can learn is how to calculate the future cost of your current decisions. I've been reflecting on this because sometimes, making the right decision isn't about whether something is a good idea. It's about whether continuing to pursue it is still the best use of your time, energy and resources. Raised by a Village is a great idea, and I genuinely believe it has potential. However, I've had to be honest with myself about the pace of progress, the energy required to keep it moving, and what continuing to invest in it could mean for other areas of my life. Every hour I spend trying to move the community forward is an hour I cannot invest elsewhere. That doesn't mean the community has no value. It means I have to consider the opportunity cost of continuing to build something that isn't progressing at the pace I'd hoped. My ministry has become a greater priority for me, and I'm already engaging in it three to four times a week. I want to give that part of my life more of my time and attention rather than continually dividing my energy between competing priorities. So, closing Raised by a Village isn't necessarily an admission that the idea has failed. It's a recognition that a good idea can still require a different owner, a different approach or a different season of life to reach its potential. I'd rather explore the possibility of passing the reins to someone who has the time, energy and vision to develop the community than continue holding onto it simply because I've invested so much in it already. I would, however, want the community to have a different name, as I intend to continue using the existing name on other platforms. For me, this is what calculating the future cost of today's decisions looks like. I have to ask myself: If I continue doing things the way I am now, what might I be giving up that I cannot afford to lose? Time is a resource we can never replenish. We can create new opportunities, start new projects and change direction, but we cannot recover the hours we've already spent.

The number one reason an AI twin stops looking like you is not the tool. It is starting over every time. When you type a fresh description and hope for the best, you get a brand new person. Every time. Here is what actually keeps a twin consistent: 1. Pick one hero photo and build from it. Choose your clearest front facing photo, good light, no heavy filter. That photo becomes your anchor. Every new image starts from it, not from a text description alone. 2. Write down what never changes. Hair, face shape, skin tone, the features that make you you. Save that list where you can paste it into every prompt, word for word. Changing the wording changes the face. 3. Change one thing at a time. New outfit, same everything else. New setting, same everything else. When you change five things at once, the face drifts and you cannot tell what caused it. 4. Keep a small folder of your best results. Your 5 to 10 most accurate images become your reference set. Work from those, not from the misses. 5. Accept close, then refine. Your first generation is a draft. Generate, compare to your hero photo, adjust one detail, generate again. Consistency is built in rounds, not in one perfect prompt. A twin that looks like you is not about finding a magic tool. It is about giving the tool the same starting point every single time. What is the hardest part of keeping your twin consistent so far?

I feel that my mind and body is only able to accomplish things in small amounts, and while I believe my community has great potential, I feel that progress has been slower than I would have liked. Ideally, I'd love to pass the reins to someone who has the time, energy and vision to take the community forward and make something meaningful of it. I'd be happy to see the idea continue to grow under someone else's leadership. My only preference would be for them to change the community's name, as I intend to continue using that name on other platforms. At this stage, I feel it's time for me to redirect more of my time and energy towards my ministry, which I've already been engaging in three to four times a week. This is where my focus is increasingly moving, and I'd like to give it the time and attention it deserves. That's one of the main reasons I've decided to close Raised by a Village. It's not that I don't believe in the idea or its potential; rather, I recognise that my priorities are changing, and I'd prefer to give someone else the opportunity to take it forward while I concentrate on what matters most to me now.
