I’d Rather Build 10 Real Relationships
I read Shawn’s article about why 10 strong relationships can be worth more than 10,000 followers, and it made me think about how I’ve been approaching social media lately.
For a long time, it’s easy to think growth means getting more followers, more views, and bigger numbers.
But I’m learning that I’d rather have a smaller group of people I actually know.
People whose posts I recognize when I see their name.
People I’ve had real conversations with.
People I can support without wondering what I’m going to get in return.
And people who are getting to know me the same way.
That doesn’t happen from one comment or one connection request. It happens when you keep showing up and the conversations start adding up.
So I like the idea of a Power 10.
Not 10 prospects.
Not 10 people to pitch.
Just 10 genuine relationships worth building.
I’m curious: If you looked at your social media differently and focused on relationships instead of follower count, what would you do differently this week?
