Hey EYS and anyone else on here! It started last week where I had to do a Virtual/Digital interview w/ JnJ. On Thursday I spoke with an outside recruiter for a role w. Nalu Medical. Immediately after our call I had a conversation w/ the territory manager that same day, a phone call with the clinical specialist, followed by an interview with the senior sales director. Everything went great and asked if I had any availability to do a field ride. I said yes and was available right away which he was very excited about. This was all on Thursday. On Monday I had another interview with the hiring manager at JnJ, followed by a surgical procedure with Nalu 60 minutes away from my home. I spent time with the TM and clinical specialist and learned a lot. They were very excited to have me there and the TM would be reaching out to the hiring manager to get things moving forward. The following day I had an interview w/ the VP of sales and the next day w/the HR director from Nalu Medical. I was asked by the senior sale director to reach out to him immediately after I had that interview w/ HR. Here was the feedback I received from the SSD @ Nalu.
HR: He was very confident in his skills and knowledge but there is a level of humility that is needed. He presented himself very well and professionally. He is an Alpha and not sure if it would be a good fit. Senior Sales Director: Not concerned at all about me being able to succeed in the role and do great things, greatest concern is will I leave prior to their 2 year commitment. They don't want an entry level person because they already have one on the team but yet I am over qualified and they cannot pay me as much (I gave them a $$ within their range listed). The common theme with Nalu and JnJ...The career change after having success as a managing partner, why are you looking for an entry level role, you are over qualified. I can give you more details if you would like but please let me know your thoughts EYS.
