TrainingPeaks // Garmin communication issue (meters != yards)

Hello! Has anyone faced this issue with Garmin reading in TrainingPeaks swim sessions in yards - not meters.

I'm following pre-programmed swim session in the pool as prescribed through training peaks. These seem to be set up correctly on TrainingPeaks (in meters). After linking garmin with trainingpeaks, its nicely syncing training sessions, but the swim sets are carried through to garmin in yards, not in meters.

I've tried to make adjustments on training peaks but nothing seems to work. Just wondering if anyone has faced this, and maybe even resolved it.
