Let’s get you into your body (right now) Before you scroll any further, try this: Take 30 seconds. • Drop your shoulders • Unclench your jaw • Take a slow breath in through your nose for 4 seconds • Hold the breath for 7 seconds • Long exhale out of your mouth for 8 seconds Repeat 4 times. Notice: What’s different in your body? That’s where this work begins — small moments of awareness that change everything. You don’t need to do anything perfectly. You just get to start noticing. Affect labeling is the practice of deliberately putting your feelings into words—either silently, out loud, or in writing. Instead of just feeling overwhelmed, you name the emotion: “I feel anxious,” “I’m disappointed,” or even more specific, “I feel rejected and uncertain.” You'll find more info about it, how it works and how to use it effectively- in the classroom 💓
