Lead Your Emotions
Today's quote from the book:
“You lead your emotions instead of being led by them.”
Doing What You Know, Chapter 8, p. 145
When most people react, they’re not choosing.
They’re being driven.
By fear.
By anger.
By pressure in the moment.
That’s why they say things they regret.
Make decisions they wouldn’t normally make.
Miss opportunities they should’ve taken.
Reaction is automatic.
Response is intentional.
That’s the difference.
Emotional control isn’t about suppressing what you feel.
It’s about not letting what you feel take control of what you do.
Because the moment you can pause…
You can choose.
And the moment you can choose…
You take your power back.
