I had an interesting interaction in MVP group. Long story short there was a lady in there who had trouble getting positions with her dog. Her luring was all over the place and she was trying to use force to push his butt down resulting the dog doing exactly the opposite. She kept telling the dog heโs wrong and stupid etc
All of us jumped in and offered her some advice but she was very determined that the dog is making the โmistakeโ
Which led me to conversation with a fellow MVP. We both have little dogs who absolutely love training. I often hear that people โlove Franks energyโ
He throws himself โall inโ no matter what we are doing. And Iโm wondering now itโs because heโs not scared or worried about making a mistake.
I have learned over the years that 99.9% time itโs me causing the mistake with either confusing signals or lure etc so we just laugh it off.
I do believe in clarity but also I love a dog who just jumps in and offers stuff. Maybe itโs because I never competed seriously so itโs not a biggie.
Interesting to hear everyoneโs thoughts and little video example of our โfailโ ๐
