Day 124 Experiment in scent
Today tried something new. Stuffed my wife into a wooden box 40m upwind with a mattress pump connected to a pipe leading under a wood pile. Kizmet obviously picked up her scent but was a little confused and did not do a good bark alert despite finding the correct spot. Idea is to be able to give her a smaller scent picture than a close by human body. It is hard to replicate a deeply buried person under a few floors of building but a pipe with a weak pump blowing in means I should be able to play with the concentration a bit. Also can use less obvious hides with a pipe than a full human.

Igor had his first race of the year yesterday. The boy probably had his best run.🐾 He was really keen to get off the start line so his pull was great and he actually didn't come last! 11th out of 13 he is slowly moving his way up 🎉 probably would have done better had my daughter realised they were actually racing and not just there for a good time 5k 😂 With those ears I think he could probably fly round.

Day 308: More Indications
Aster is still very lame😫 poor thing. She's being very good considering she can't go do much. We did a lovely couple sets of indications today just with food. She even kept steady with my jiggling my hands full of food beside her face.

Comment which one you would rather have and then post another for the next person. Labrador or Golden Retriever?

What are your 2026 Goals?
Do you have any goals for 2026? Or, maybe it's more like a bucket-list... just stuff you'd like to do. What comes to mind?

@Nick Benger true - one thing I'd also love to really get sharp is recall off a very high value thing e.g. fast moving chuckit ball, bunny, squirrel etc. I would really love to get to that reliable space where she'll come back from that
