Jumping through hoops...
In more ways than one. I've been on my tod all week juggling work, dogs, builders. Ideal time for my other half to go away for 3 days👌not sure who has caused me more of a headache but Its definitely not the dogs. They have been doing well considering. Igors stolen a few items from the builder bucket but he likes to be helpful. Light at the end of the tunnel now I think 🤞 Anyway we had some fun today and it got them out the house for a while. I actually think I broke Igor as i opened the boot when we got home and he didn't even attempt to get out lol I randomly started mucking about with hula hoops seeing if I could get them to jump though them. We did some searches and some other basic commands.I actually think Igor looked quite tidy doing his. Phoenix nearly takes me out doing "front" she's so overenthusiastic. Both nailed there searches and the weather has been glorious. Good day

👏👏👏😍😍lovely!! Lauren these two have transformed in the last couple months I'm sure?! So cute with the hoops! You got some really nice fancy obedience there too. Love those sit fonts and heel positions. Have you been looking at the STSK9 stuff? X

Day 39-40 move program
Last few days I have been working on Dr Melanie’s Move program and it’s actually really good. Our homework is to take photos on different angles and analyze any weaknesses and imbalances. It’s cool she teaches us to do it instead of just doing it herself. Also working on platform stand and back up. Adjustment we need to make is not rushing but that’s story of Frank’s life haha I’m inspired to have another season of hoopers with Frank to complement the Scentwork. I’m thinking of starting with movement puzzles so watch this space. Anyone keen to do the two bowl games with us?

@Ave Paasuke I used to make a separate post in here with challenges for peeps, that might be a good way to catch attention? Or were you going to do it thru insta? I got rid of it on my phone x
Day 175 Experimenting with piped scent
Have a long pipe going under a small pile of rocks at the other end is a person in a small shed with an air pump. So in theory there is some human odour coming out from the rocks. Idea is to get her to alert from a location where a person is not likely to be based on scent and also to be able to give a low odour picture. In a build collapse the setup may not look like a training pile and the person may have several collapsed floors in the middle. So hoping to use this to generalise to a non obvious location and lower scent but who knows what the dog thinks. In this she is obviously unsure she has the correct answer but smells something. I encourage her to bark as I thought I would need to first time out. Cannot afford to do too much like this or she may generalise to the added smell of the polythene pipe or the noise of the pump coming down the tube and think they are worth barking at without the human odour. Is interesting however as the low odour and unusual odour location is hard to replicate with a whole human to hide in training.

Agility
Not posted in a while but all going well, we had 90 minutes solo agility today as Rio had hurt her paw so Mabel excelled! Great course with lots of wraps and turns! Love her she struggled at points but then nailed it! We even got poles were I was moving away from her and she kept going to the end!
