I have had cats my entire life. They are our guardians. Each time i had a tragedy in my life, followed by immense emotions my cat at that moment became ill. This boy chester died in september 2025, he was 20. in dec 2016 i shattered my ankle, shortly afterwards my cat cody became ill. He was semi ferel i couldnt catch him to care for him. I made the very difficult decision to put him to sleep. A few months later chester became ill. I cared for him 24x7 for 9 years. My consciousness fractured. My move to a new state, followed by an injuiry, 1 deceased cat, 1 ill cat, job loss, emeshed field trying to detach from all its know. These pets are in service to us. They absorb and regulate us. They are pure unconditional love. They are a gift. His illness was a catalyst to my awakening. He forced me into stillness. I am grateful for the time we had together.
