How to develop a network of Legal Title Attorneys

Below is one of many emails I received from attorneys specializing in Curative Title.

This is the caliber of professionals I want to connect with our Summer School Students.

"Ellis,

I am a Real Estate Attorney / Curative Title Specialist, with the “elevator” pitch: “I work on complex and commercial real estate with a focus of curing title and trust tangles. Call me when you have a problem. Call me when you don’t even know the question. I’ve either seen it, done it, solved it, or know who has.”

My whole practice has been in real estate, starting prior to law school when I was a full-time title researcher. I’ve either examined, reviewed or opined on 1000’s of titles. My practice also includes representing commercial buyers and sellers and meeting their residential needs as well as consulting for other law firms engaged in title litigation and need a report and/or co-counsel from someone who can research the issue and help them frame and argue the issues. I’ve filed specific court-requested litigation title reports (here in MA sometime referred to as Land Court Examiner Reports or Expert Disclosure, depending on the Court’s request) and I’ve testified as an expert witness.
