Welcome to Breastfeeding Prep & Support
Welcome to Breastfeeding Prep & Support Hi, I’m Karen I’m a postpartum nurse and lactation coordinator, and I’m really glad you’re here. This community is here to help you understand breastfeeding before it feels overwhelming — and to support you through real-life postpartum moments with calm, evidence-based education. Start Here 👇 1️⃣ Introduce yourselfShare: - Where you are (pregnant or postpartum) - How old your baby is (if they’re here) - One thing you’re hoping to feel more confident about Short and simple is perfect. 2️⃣ Start in the ClassroomBegin with:👉 Breastfeeding Preparation Before Baby Arrives(Even if your baby is already here — this sets the foundation.) 3️⃣ Explore at your own paceLessons are designed to be: - practical - easy to follow - focused on what actually matters - What This Space Is (and Isn’t) This IS: ✔ Education-focused ✔ Evidence-based ✔ Calm and judgment-free ✔ Designed to reduce overwhelm This is NOT: ✖ Crisis care ✖ Emergency medical advice ✖ Pressure to “do it perfectly” You don’t need to know everything right now. You just need a place that helps you understand what’s normal and what matters. You’re welcome here 🤍— Karen
NEW: Live Breastfeeding Support Call (Starting This Sunday)
Hi mamas 🤍 I’m adding something new inside our community — and I’m excited to try this with you. 🗓 Starting Sunday, February 15th🕛 12PM EST📅 Every other week I’ll be hosting a live breastfeeding support call for all members. This is not a lecture. This is not a class. This is real-time support. You can come to: • Ask questions about feeding • Talk through supply worries • Get clarity on newborn behavior • Discuss pumping challenges• Feel less alone in what you’re experiencing You don’t have to be “having a problem” to come. Sometimes reassurance is what builds confidence. If it feels helpful, we’ll keep it going. If we need to adjust timing or format, we’ll adjust. This space is for you. 💬 Comment below: Are you planning to join this Sunday? And if you could get support on one thing right now, what would it be? Let’s make this a place where you feel calm, informed, and supported — not overwhelmed. 🤍

Skin-to-Skin After Birth: Was It Explained to You?
Did anyone explain why skin-to-skin mattered when you gave birth — or did it just happen without explanation? - What surprised you most about this? - Did you get uninterrupted skin-to-skin? 👇 Drop your experience below. There’s no right or wrong — just real learning.
Pros vs cons
Is there any pros from breast feeding vs pumping? Do you have to do more breastfeeding than pumping? Is there a con to only doing one or the other?
Many questions
When my baby latches, he’s good for like 5-10 mins then starts to tug on it then relatch like he is playing with it. Is it normal for them to latch and relatch multiple times?
