• Breastfeeding and Pumping: How They Work Together to Support Milk Supply
Breastfeeding and pumping aren’t opposites — they’re teammates. Breastfeeding is powerful for regulation, connection, and signaling your body to keep making milk. Pumping is a tool that protects supply, supports working parents, and gives flexibility when life demands it. One doesn’t replace the other. They work together. What matters most isn’t whether milk comes from breast or pump — it’s total milk removal over 24 hours. That’s what your body responds to. A simple way to think about it: - Breastfeed when your baby is with you - Pump when you’re separated or when you need to plan ahead That’s not “doing extra.” That’s lactation working as designed. If you’re doing both and wondering if it’s enough — it usually is. Question: Are you feeling more unsure about when to pump, or just wanting reassurance that what you’re doing is supporting your supply?
Many questions
When my baby latches, he’s good for like 5-10 mins then starts to tug on it then relatch like he is playing with it. Is it normal for them to latch and relatch multiple times?

Question
I was told when your babies are sick it can change your milk color, is that true?
New here
Hi! I got a question. I’m curious about supply and demand? Like 3pm 6pm and 9pm I get like 6oz per boob but like midnight 3am 6am it’s like 3.5-4oz. Why isn’t it consistent?
