Goal Setting & Time Blocking for Success
Hey everyone!
I want you to hit your goals and stay on track with time blocking and tracking your production. Let’s break it down with an example. I also attached the excel spreadsheet the team uses to track all of this.
Do not download until you read through everything!
Step 1: Set a Clear Goal
Let’s say your goal is to make $100,000 next year. To get there, you need to know the numbers:
  • If your average commission is $10,000, you need to close 10 deals this year.
  • That means about 1 deal a month.
Step 2: Break It Down
To close 1 deal a month, you need to meet with potential clients. Let’s say you need to meet with 5 serious buyers or sellers to close 1 deal.
  • So, you need to set 5 appointments a month.
  • To get those 5 appointments, you might need to reach out to 20 leads a week.
Step 3: Time Blocking
Time blocking helps you focus. If you need to reach out to 20 leads a week, block time every day for lead generation.
  • Example: Block 1 hour every morning, Monday through Friday, for making calls and following up with leads.
Step 4: Track Your Production
Keep track of how many leads you’re reaching out to, how many appointments you’re setting, and how many deals you’re closing. It’s the best way to see if you’re on track or if you need to adjust.
Also, I’m thinking about doing an in-person training here in San Diego—3 hours to help you set your goals and either finish the year strong or kick off next year right. Who’s in? Let me know!
