Scraping YouTube channel comments for ideas
Hey everyone, I have a client who has a 30K sub YouTube channel (I do emails/digital marketing/copywriting for him) and he has a lot of comments across 213 videos he has published. I recently used automation to scrape the comments on his channel and found soo many ideas for content and even product creation. Probably spend less than $20 per month for automation - well worth it!
YouTube Shorts editor
Can someone please Skool me on all of the ways to edit a short directly on a YouTube app? I believe you can do it directly on the YouTube app. And also YouTube studio? And I just saw something called YouTube Creators? Is that yet another way? If so what is the difference in them all?
Resuming YT after a 4 month break
I started YT in March 2025 with Alexa's course.. things ticked along and the channel grew. There came a point in my life I had to stop making videos for 4 months. I stressed and stressed about that decision. I knew i would be shooting myself in the foot since the channel was growing, but it had to be done. I dragged my feet returning to making videos because I knew I would be embarrassed at the results after that long. 🥺 I stressed about how hard it would be to catch up. I am pleased to say that after 4 months off, the channel resumed well in December and has been growing even more (and better than before) in my 4 weeks back! So if you have a fear like I had to not lose the momentum, it doesn't necessarily mean channel death like i anticipated. I completely understand why it is better NOT to take a break and consistency is key. But.. Do what you gotta do and get back on when you're ready! 🤠
BEST ADVICE EVER
I have seen the video from @Mike Bayer And I can say to it "BEST ADVICE EVER" Yes Mike - the Algorythmus lie. This hits hard—and it’s true. When the algorithm becomes the goal, creativity turns into compliance. You start chasing spikes instead of meaning, and that’s where joy quietly disappears. Daniel Pink’s Motivation 3.0 is such an important lens here: purpose, autonomy, and mastery don’t thrive under a constant “perform or vanish” system. The algorithm is a tool, not a compass—and when creators confuse the two, burnout is almost inevitable. Real impact isn’t always measurable in clicks, but it’s felt in the people you actually reach. This is a much-needed reminder to build from purpose first, metrics second.
BEST ADVICE EVER
Stepping Back to Refuel
I’ve been a bit intentionally quiet lately and wanted to share why. I took a short step back to refuel and reset before rolling into the new year. Between creating, learning, posting, and trying to stay consistent on YouTube, it felt important to slow things down for a moment instead of pushing through on empty. That pause helped me come back with a clearer head and a better sense of how I want to move forward with my content. Still focused on improving bit by bit and enjoying the process rather than rushing it. Heading into the new year feeling grounded, motivated, and ready to keep building, one video at a time. Wishing everyone here a strong start and steady momentum as we all keep going.
