Start Here! - Introduce yourself: Where you're based / Fave 64 Games / Work etc
Hi Guys I thought it would be cool to introduce ourselves and find out a bit about each other. I'll go first I guess :-) I'm based just south of London, UK and I'm an IT Trainer (26 odd years now). Been into Commodre ever since my Dad bought a Vic 30 around 83. Some of my fave 64 games include Gunship, Elite, Uridium, The Mars Saga, Nodes of Yesod, Ghost n Goblins, Forbidden Forest, Blue Max...oh man I could go on forever! lol Looking forward to meeting you guys here!

Your fave games for atmosphere?
There are some games I love mainly because of how atmospheric they are, one of which is the incredible The Eidolon. What games did you like for the same reason?

I think it will be a special topic for everyone where you can show games or other things which are mostly less known for users of Commodore 64. I'll start here with two games I've found recently: - Nether Earth - Its a real time strategy game which is "the Command and and conquer of the 80's" by someone. "Nether Earth is a realtime strategy game that takes place in the distant future. A war is being waged between humans and ancient race of aliens called Insignian. On their mysterious planet there are four bases to capture - Kerberus, Tarras, Faretra and Diolkos. Use factories to build giant battle robots, similar to Mech units in other games. Commanding robots, capturing factories and defeating enemies in realtime are the player's primary goals. The player controls a small flying robot, instead of mouse cursor. With this robot the player can enter a factory to design unique battle robot from parts like wheels, antigrav, radar, laser gun or nuclear weapons. After that the player has to command the robot. Artificial intelligence works well at first, but in tough times it is possible to control the robot manually. As the balance of power changes with each conquered base, the player must also adjust strategies and tactics." What was the first game you ever bought for your C64
My first game was Super Pipeline by Taskset. As soon as I knew I was getting my 64 I went into my local computer store and managed to pick this up for the princely sum of £1.99. When I got home I loaded it up only to find it had no fast loader and took 12 minutes to load! Despite that this is a great arcade style game with brilliant for the time music. Taskset games were so quirky with a very British feel. Still a great game I load up and play regularly (but with faster loading 😊)

Modern Gaming
Question for you all... Are you all modern gamers as well? And what consoles do you play...XBox / PS / PC or are you purely retro gamers? I have PS5 and my PC runs my Flight Sim set-up, but definitely love going back to old games. Apologies if this slightly off topic, not looking to spark discussions on modern games, just curious if you all purely like the retro scene or play the modern consoles as well.
