TSNW Stronger Together Retreat Feb 28 - Mar 1, 2026
Every spring, Team Survivor Northwest hosts the Stronger Together Fitness Retreat at the beautiful IslandWood Retreat Center on Bainbridge Island in Washington State. 🌿 This retreat is for women at any point in their cancer journey. It’s a weekend filled with joy, empowerment, and community. At the retreat there will be a wide range of activities and speakers and classes. I will be teaching one of the classes! The Fitness Retreat is open to all, whether this is your first time hearing about TSNW or you’ve been part of our community for years. It’s a wonderful way to experience our organization and meet an incredible group of women! Registration closes at the end of January. https://lnkd.in/gT9MZaNd If you sign up, let me know. I'd love to connect with you!

Introductions
Hi! I'm Judy, and I'm your host here in this group. I'm a woman of a certain age: GenX, menopausal. I'm neurodivergent: ADHD, Autistic, chronic migraines. I'm a cancer survivor with ongoing health issues. I'm also a mom, a wife, a daughter, a sister, a friend, and I hold down a full time job. I've learned to manage all these things using tools like journaling, mind maps, doodling, collage and creative planning, to help keep this wild, chaotic, amazing life of mine from running off the rails. In the comments below, tell us a bit about you

The BIG LIGHT
Neurodivergence often comes with big feelings about lighting. How do you feel about the big overhead light vs lamps? Do you prefer lower lighting or bright lights? 😎
The BIG LIGHT
Discussion for February Journal Prompt 24
Make a list of things and activities that bring you joy. Keep adding to it. Don't forget the little things.
Journaling and Anxiety
I'm putting the finishing touches on my Journaling and Anxiety class "Writing to Calm the Anxious Mind." It should be available here in the classroom early next month. In the meantime, I'll be presenting an abbreviated version of the course at the Team Survivor Northwest Conference on Bainbridge Island this weekend. Right now, I'm putting all those techniques I'll be teaching to work. They're really helpful in easing anxiety. I love teaching these classes, but I always get anxious beforehand. And I'm always so happy when I'm done. Over and over again, I have to remind myself that I have to move through the anxiety. Keep writing. And keep an eye out for the new class in early March.
