It was a long time coming, but this train never gave up! My members really came through for me and make me feel so proud! Three Months, 22 days to be exact!
I want to take a quick moment to reflect on something that’s worked incredibly well for me on Skool — and hopefully pass along a few lessons for anyone building here too.
What’s moved the needle most for me hasn’t been clever hacks, viral posts, or fancy funnels. It’s been showing up consistently and treating this place like a room full of real people, not a leaderboard.
That’s meant:
  • Posting regularly (even when it felt like no one was watching)
  • Commenting thoughtfully, not drive-by emojis
  • Doing one-on-one callouts and celebrating other people’s wins
  • Checking in when someone went quiet
  • Remembering details and making people feel seen
  • Creating fun, communal moments — group posts, shared laughs, even silly things like movies and themes (Skooler Bunch, group films, inside jokes… all of it mattered)
None of that scales fast. But it compounds.
What I’ve learned is this: attention is the real currency here. When people feel genuinely noticed, they engage more. When they engage more, communities grow. And when communities grow, everything else follows naturally.
So if you’re trying to grow on Skool, here’s my honest advice:
  • Don’t post at people — talk with them
  • Be curious before being clever
  • Make others the main character more often than yourself
  • And never underestimate how far a simple “Hey, how are you doing?” can go
I’m proud of the time, care, and energy I’ve put into this — and even more proud of the people and conversations that came out of it.
If this helps even one person build a warmer, stronger community, then it was worth sharing.
Keep going. It works.
