Family left early yesterday, so I decided to use those 45 minutes and just relax on the deck with a Mango/Strawberry frozen daiquiri. After a quick dinner of cheddar cheese and crackers with another drink, I decided to start knitting again. It was now 5:30 PM and I would have time to finish the last 4 tubes of the blanket. Shortly after completing the waste yarn, I received a phone call from my brother. We had been playing phone tag for the last couple of days, so I decided to answer. As we talk, I asked if the sound from the machine bothered him, he said no, so I continued. Then I said UH OH! He asked what happened, and I said I'm past the black pins on the machine so that means instead of changing colors when I should have, I'll now have 16 rows instead of 15. He asked did it really matter, I said yes! I didn't use the term frogging with him, but said no problem, I'm not that far so I quickly pulled it out. Once I restarted, I was on a roll. After our 45 (seems to be a special number for me) minute conversation I thought things were going smoothly, until I saw I was at row 165 and was getting ready to change to what should have been my last color, YELLOW! Looking at my cheat sheet, I said that means you'll be ending at row 180, that's not going to work. I decided to then finish off with the white and said to myself, oh well, you'll just make another loop scarf. Well, I didn't even get that right, I added waste yarn when I should have just cast off. I put the tube next to the others, so see if the mistake would be noticeable. At first, I didn't see the error, but when I did, I said that's definitely not going to work. Last picture shows I didn't knit enough white rows. That's the only problem I have had with rolling my tubes up. the colors get lost and I can't do a visual check to see that I have knitted enough rows. Lesson learned was 1) I can't drink and knit (since this happened at the 50th row, I must have thought I saw 60) and 2) I can't talk and knit. In any event, I was finished knitting for the night. I still have time to finish the last 4 tubes before
