Enjoyment
Overachievers are experts at outcome management. We are really good at getting things done. What we kinda suck at is enjoyment. We look at enjoyment as a reward, not as something to create on the daily. I’m reading one of Chase Hughe’s books on influence and he says that enjoyment is a key source of your authority (which is a key component of influence). You will automatically turn towards someone who is clearly enjoying themselves. “Enjoyment attracts others while also boosting confidence.” Enjoyment can be cultivated. - What activities make time disappear? - Which clients energize you? - What conversations create aliveness? - What content feels fun to create? Look for the glimmers my friends and lean in! Would love to hear your thoughts on this topic!

The power of gratitude
There’s lots of neuroscience behind a gratitude practice. It helps with stress, sleep and your leadership abilities. It makes it easier to rewire other patterns too. I use a “Some lines a day” 5 year journal to write down what I’m grateful for every day. I’m grateful to my past self for setting me up for success. I’m grateful for our military and first responders. I’m grateful for a conversation that I had that changed my perspective.
