A higher power
Recovery taught me that a Higher Power doesn’t have to look the same for everyone. For some it’s God, for others it’s nature, the universe, love, truth, recovery itself, or simply the strength found in a room full of people who understand. The important part isn’t having all the answers — it’s being willing to believe that we don’t have to fight alone anymore. A Higher Power of your own understanding means freedom. Freedom from trying to force someone else’s beliefs onto yourself. Freedom to grow spiritually at your own pace. Freedom to find peace in a way that feels real to you. Sometimes faith starts small:• Making it through one more day clean• Asking for help instead of isolating• Trusting the process when life feels uncertain• Believing healing is possible even when your mind says otherwise Your Higher Power can grow as you grow. You don’t need perfection, and you don’t need to understand everything today. Just stay open, stay willing, and keep moving forward. “Came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.”

Spirituality
Spirituality in recovery isn’t about being perfect — it’s about being willing. The 12 Steps teach us that we don’t have to carry everything alone anymore. Recovery starts to change when we stop trying to control everything and start learning how to trust the process, ask for help, and stay honest with ourselves and others. Spiritual growth doesn’t happen overnight. Sometimes it looks like: • making the next right decision • showing up even when you don’t feel like it • helping another person struggling • taking accountability • finding gratitude in small things • choosing peace over chaos The strongest people in recovery aren’t the ones who never struggle — they’re the ones who keep coming back, keep growing, and keep surrendering one day at a time. No matter how dark it gets, recovery gives us a chance to rebuild from the inside out.🙏 #Recovery #12Steps #SpiritualGrowth #OneDayAtATime #RecoveryJourney #Sobriety #Healing #NA #AA

Triggers
Triggers don’t mean failure — they’re signals. A place, a person, a feeling, a memory, stress, loneliness, anger, even success can wake up old thoughts and urges. Recovery isn’t about pretending triggers don’t exist. It’s about learning how to respond instead of react. Every time you pause, reach out, pray, journal, hit a meeting, call someone, or choose not to pick up — you’re building strength. Your trigger is not stronger than the work you’ve already put in. One healthy decision can change the direction of your entire day. Stay aware. Stay honest. Stay connected.Recovery is won one moment at a time. 💪
