Recovery teaches us that faith isn’t just something we talk about—it’s something we live.
We can pray for change, believe God has a better life for us, and ask for strength… but eventually, we have to get up and do the work.
Faith says, “God can change my life.”
Works say, “I’m willing to participate in that change.”
That means going to meetings when we don’t feel like it.
Working the Steps when they’re uncomfortable.
Making amends.
Setting boundaries.
Walking away from people, places, and behaviors that keep pulling us backward.
Choosing honesty when lying would be easier.
And getting back up every time we fall.
We don’t earn recovery through our works. We demonstrate our faith through them.
Faith gives us the direction.
Works put our feet on the path.
Don’t just pray for the life you want—take action toward it.
One day at a time. 🙏💪
