Setting major goals!
What are your goals for the next 12 months?
This past week I decided to stop being quite so vague with my bodybuilding ambitious, because that wishy-washy mentality was effectively giving myself a pass to not work as hard as I could. I already entered the scene with worse health and an older age than most folks, so I have to lock in completely if I want to achieve my goals.
I'm aiming for a show in October 2027. Specifically, South Australia Titles B season Men's Physique. I've made myself a full countdown calendar and intend to fully weaponize my metric-tracking autism to do the following:
6 intense lifting workouts a week.
300 calories cardio a day.
Bioimpedance scan at the start of every month.
Progress photos at the start of every month.
Tracking my cut/bulk cycles.
Rating my daily diet adherence out of 10.
Using MyFitnessPal to track macros.
I just took my first round of photos, since it's day 1. Honestly, it's more grim than I realised. My bodyfat is sitting WAYY too high, so. 1 month aggressive cut, 9ish month bulk, then prep phase over the last 6 months before the show.
Whilst I don't expect to win anything - to get on the stage and not embarrass myself is my goal - I know that my personal standards are going to mean that I have to TRAIN as though I do expect to win.
