Brothers,
I’ve spent time wearing both Creed Bois du Portugal and Dua Royal Portugal, and honestly, they’re more alike than different.
Bois du Portugal smells really clean, classy, and mature. It opens fresh and slightly citrusy, then settles into a smooth lavender and woody scent that just feels “put together.” It smells like something a well-dressed older gentleman would wear to a nice dinner or important meeting. The downside for me is that it stays pretty close to the skin and doesn’t last as long as I expected for the price.
Dua Royal Portugal smells extremely similar right out of the gate. If you know Bois du Portugal, you’ll recognize it immediately. The main difference is that the Dua version feels a little louder and stronger. It projects more and lasts longer on my skin, which I actually prefer for everyday wear. It also feels slightly more modern, while the Creed feels more old-school and refined.
If money was no issue, Creed Bois du Portugal feels smoother and more polished overall. But for real-world use, I reach for Dua Royal Portugal more often because it gives me almost the same scent, lasts longer, and I don’t feel bad spraying it freely.
Bottom line:
Creed smells more elegant and subtle
Dua smells almost the same, just stronger and cheaper
For me, Dua is the better daily option, and Creed is more of a special-occasion fragrance.
