Yes & No
If you are in a fat loss phase, they can make a major impact. But consistency is key.
If you are walking 8-10k a day. Bumping up to 11 or 12 will slowly aid in the extra calorie burn.
I would personally (and am currently) bumping up to 15k. This is a significant enough jump to demand more energy from the body aka more calories burned.
This is the fastest and most effective way to start really seeing Fat Loss. Simply moving more.
But where most fuck it all up is thinking they can add some more calories in. This defeats the whole purpose. The amount of calories actually burned from adding more steps in isn't that significant. But done DAILY will help a lot, just not enough to justify 3 extra Guinnesses and a cookie.
