What Are You Currently Working On?
Basically, how can I help? What in the gym feels like a pain in the ass? Is there an exercise I can break down for you all? Something just not making sense in the long run? Even in your daily regimen, I am happy to help you figure out calories, macros, supplements. Anything ya got!

@Max Rassman this is something I also struggle with. I want to do it all because I am constantly supplying it all in the programs I deliver. I give you your exercises then realize I also want to do cleans. This is where seasons can come into play. Season building. More muscle, strength. Then get powerful with those new muscles (my favorite. Usually summer time. Power cleans, medball throws, jumping). You have some decent goals that needs extra attention which makes it harder to just stick to the one thing.

MECHANICAL TENSION FAILURE
This is the easiest way to tell if you are actually taking reps close enough to failure. Compare the SPEED of your First rep and your LAST rep. If it is not significantly slower, then you are not reaching that lovely threshold that actually causes adaptations in the working muscle(s). You don't have to take it to complete failure, but within 1-3 reps is that sweet spot you want to hang out in for TWO of your working sets. Hope this helps

 MECHANICAL TENSION FAILURE
Progress > Perfection
Focusing on true strength training has had many incredible benefits over the last 2ish years - 8+lbs of muscle gained - All my lifts increased significantly - Body feels amazing (better mobility, ess nagging injuries, heal faster when injuries do happen) - Confidence through the roof aka FEEL FUCK DANGEROUS - Extra yards to all the clubs in my bag - Body Fat is easier to keep off - Girlfriend can't keep her hands off me - Overall health scores improved It's may more than just looking better. But it also takes way more than just showing up to the gym sometimes or even consistently. I'm offering the exact program I followed for the last year or so to you all first. If you upgrade ($36 monthly) you get the program delivered to your phone, weekly group calls with me helping, monthly 1on1 call from me to better set you up for success. I can only afford this for 20 people before I'll have to up the price. But if done now, you'll be forever locked in at that price. You can cancel or downgrade anytime. Let's fuckin get it

I have a client I see every Monday Tuesday & Wednesday. Mid 50s, unit of a dude. Travels from Tampa to Toronto every single weekend. So they days I see him need to COUNT. We started in February. He knows how to exercise. He knows how to push himself, often too hard. He is 0 or 100. No in between. That's where I, the coach, come in. He was getting a little fluffy and losing muscle mass, so he came to me and I programmed around his hectic schedule. (He's also basically vegan. I couldn't help him there) Monday - Heavy Legs Tuesday - Heavy Upper Wednesday - Full body on what we missed with some high intensity at the beginning. He takes the big sets to failure. Like TRUE FUCKING FAILURE. I'm able to properly get him there on his compounds working through his injuries. He has managed to drop his body fat from 20.7% to 18.6% WHILE adding 4lbs of muscle. In 4 months. This is impressive, especially for his age. Trust the process, get on an actual training program that pushes you, and get the fuck after it. Cheers dorks

Welcome to Barbells Fore Birdies. Glad you're here. Let me tell you exactly what this place is and what it isn't. ✅ This IS a community for the weekend warrior golfers, the vibey "old" guys, the ones who are done being comfortable. Guys who want to move like athletes, hit it further, stop destroying their backs, and actually feel dangerous on the first AND last tee. ❌ This is NOT a place for perfection, ego, or spectators. If you're here to lurk quietly and never contribute, that's fine just be respectful. I love witty banter, but back that shit up. We push each other here. We celebrate each other here. Keyboard warriors can find the exit quickly. Here's what I need from you on day one: 👉 Drop a comment below. Tell us where you're from, your handicap (or "I have no idea" is a completely valid answer), and the ONE thing you most want to fix about your game or your body, or a recent golf/gym win. That's it. One comment. Then grow from there. Lay Ups are boring... Don't be boring. — Coach Ty

Coaches lead the way - I am 35, golfing for 20+ years on and off, should be a 8-10 handicap but I struggle with consistency and drinking tequila transfusions. I sit around 15ish now but the last year has been injury ridden. I plan on taking it more seriously (to a point, I am a fitness profession first, not a golfer). Last PR in the gym was Trap Bar Deadlift, 315 for 5 reps as my last set. My 5i is at a 215-225 carry and that gives me hope. I suck at chipping (where my scores add up), hence the video series I am starting where I work on it while educating about fitness. (on YT & IG) Cheers
