Hey fellas, It's been quite the busy spring for me + weโre basically staring summer in the face ๐
One thing Iโve been tightening up lately is my Google Business Profile, because honestlyโฆ itโs still one of the highest-ROI โmarketing channelsโ you can work on without spending ad money. Hereโs the simple system Iโm using right now (specifically: what to post, how often, and how to ask for reviews the right way): โ
The weekly GBP cadence (keep it stupid simple) - Post 2โ3x/week (donโt overthink it) - Upload fresh job photos regularly, before and after is ideal (this is the โtrust engineโ) Content mix: - 1โ2 standard updates/week: recent job, quick tip, team/process, before/after - 1 offer/month: promo, bundle, seasonal special - Seasonal update quarterly: hours changes, seasonal services, etc. It's important to note that now your social media posts are beginning to show up on your google profile. If someone "googles" your business, Google will highlight your most recent posts on Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok. That's where it's helpful to have your heavier hitting branding with reels/videos that help the customers understand your business better. You can stick with simple photos of your work and before/after style content in your Google Business Profile. I've also found out that photos shared by your customers that show your work is kinda like steroids for your local SEO, so start asking your customers for reviews with photos to avoid falling behind! โญ Review tip thatโs been big for me When you ask for a review, donโt just ask for stars. Ask for: - A photo review (customers uploading photos = major trust signal) - The specific service name (ex: โexterior window cleaningโ, โgutter cleaningโ, โpressure washingโ) Itโs not spammy if you phrase it right โ itโs just helping your next customer find you. There are 2 documents with a weekly GBP checklist and a review script below, plus I wrote out the full strategy + examples here (more in-depth guide):
