Competition and Starting MY Own Business.
How does everyone deal with competition? Im in Medford Oregon and I want to start a window washing business eventually adding in gutter cleaning and pressure washing but in my area there are 13 other services that are preforming the same treatment and I don’t know how to stand out from the rest. I am currently a cement mixer truck driver so it’s a huge leap in a different direction. Do I quit my day job and put all my time in this? I have a 10,000 dollar start up and want to know what everyone’s thoughts and experiences are so I don’t fail or do something stupid.

cleaning limescale deposits on stone
I was asked if I could clean limescale deposits, on stone from Spain (natural stone). I watered with CLR then I brushed and rinsed with demineralized water, without result. Could someone here advise me? Thanks

Window Cleaning Soap
What’s your favorite window cleaning soap (or soap combination)? So far I’ve only used Maykker Orange Krush or Dawn. I also have an order coming this week with Maykker EcoKrush, Moerman Deluxe, and Glass Gleam 4, so I’m looking forward to testing those out. Lately I’ve decided to stick with professional soaps because I like the idea of using products specifically designed for glass and professional window cleaning. My understanding is that Dawn can sometimes leave behind a slight residue or film that may cause windows to attract dirt faster over time. Since I’m charging premium pricing, I want the products I use to reflect that level of service. I’m also planning to lean more into eco-friendly marketing going forward. Curious to hear what everyone else prefers and why.
