I’m struggling today
I guess this may be the place to share this. Idk but I just need to tell someone.
So, I’m a nurse practitioner and I work two days a week seeing people who are applying for disability. I do a head to toe physical exam for 17-24 people a day on those days. It’s fast paced, no lunch, and mentally and physically exhausting. It’s way better than what I did it family practice though so for that I’m grateful. Once the days are over, I have to go home, go through pages of information, and type up my physical exam findings and what they report are their disabilities. This is where I struggle! Lol they’re time consuming and boring. Lol I can’t do the documentation during the visit bc the system my company uses is literally from the 1800s 😂 and it’s just not possible. So, that puts me at home doing it. Anyway, today is a day I set aside to do these reports but I have 30 of them and each one is average 15-30 min for me.
Today, I feel so jittery in my chest, stomach, and head. I feel dizzy headed and I cannot focus today. I feel super anxious and overwhelmed and emotional. I do this every now and then and really struggle to overcome it. It’s 1:35 pm and I’ve done 2 charts today! I’ve been “trying” since 9 am. 🙄🤦‍♀️😩 I am physically and mentally struggling to just sit down and do it. I’ve sat there, but it’s like I can’t even read or process the information. I’m so frustrated with myself right now.
I’m deciding to get up take a shower and try to refocus.
It’s like my clothes, my skin, everything is getting on my nerves. So I’m thinking if I shower it all away, maybe I’ll feel refreshed. Idk.
If you made it this far, I’m sorry you wasted your time 😂 I just needed to vent and type it out I think.
Anyone else ever do this??!! What do you do to refocus?
