Are you sure?
Growing up in a household which encouraged one to focus on their strengths and not weaknesses, I fell victim to the mindset that my strengths are what make me and my weak points should be negligible to me.
Now, as I sat down to reflect on my progress as an individual, I realises that how many times I had to indirectly confront myself in order to step ahead. Though it was an indirect self confrontation, I realised that if only I had accepted my "flaws", it wouldn't have been so difficult to proceed.
To brief it down, don't be ashamed of how many bad habits you have, how many times you messed up, how much you've been taunted about something, how many things are just not right in your life or how many things you're insecure about. Trust me, if it's something you can fix then you can overcome it just by acknowledging it first.
You don't have to tell anyone anything, just proceed silently. There's nothing bad about being "imperfect" which in my opinion is totally human.
Write it down, give yourself time to accept it, look for ways to overcome it, build patience and you'll do it. Don't measure the time, it's of no use. Track your progress, that's all you should be aware of. In the end, ask yourself.."Am I really sure that this is who I truly am?"
It was a thought that emerged out from reviewing a book I had read long back. Hope it was some help to someone.
Thanks you! Have a great day/night💙✨
