Good morning Axis Leadership Community! I just wrapped up Perry Startup Week, a powerhouse event for small business growth, and walked away with some gold nuggets of wisdom. Here’s my quick take on my top 5 lessons learned:
- AI is a Force Multiplier: If you’re not tapping into AI, you’re missing a massive edge. It’s not about being tech-obsessed—it’s about working smarter. AI can automate tasks, crunch data, and free you up to focus on what matters. Embrace it, or risk falling behind.
2. Time is Your Only Finite Resource: You can’t do it all, and that’s okay. Delegate, outsource, and let go of wearing every hat. Protecting your time unlocks growth—don’t squander it on things others can handle.
3. Marketing Sweet Spot: Passion Meets Opportunity: Effective marketing isn’t just about what you’re good at—it’s where your skills intersect with real opportunities. Target clients you’re great at helping and enjoy serving. Work with people who energize you, and the results will shine.
4. You Are Your Best Marketing Tool: Small business thrives on relationships. Your authenticity, story, and connection with others sell better than any ad. Lean into being the face of your brand—it’s your superpower.
5. "QTIP" When You Fail: Failure stings, but don’t take it personally (Quit Taking It Personally—QTIP). It’s a detour, not a dead end. Learn, adjust, and keep moving forward.
Perry Startup Week was a reminder that entrepreneurship is about strategy, heart, and resilience. Which of these resonates with you? What golden nuggets do you have to share? Let’s keep the conversation going in our community!
