Collaborating with a screenwriter on a TV series
I've been composing some themes and underscore to strengthen a screenwriter's pitch for an urban noir/horror tv series. He already has a producer who is interested and is planning to meet with him in person to pitch it. The hope is he'll also play one of my cues. The screenwriter really wants to work on this tv series in some capacity and is not interested in selling his script. I haven’t scored a tv series yet, so I'm thinking it would be a good idea to find a collaborator who has experience scoring tv series. From what I've heard, music isn't even considered at this early stage. It might help with the pitch, but my cues will probably be forgotten by the time they actually need music. Assuming that this project gets the green light, how can I attach myself to this project in these early days? Or will they likely go with their preferred composer no matter what?

What DAW are you folks using for film scoring?
I've personally tried to learn Ableton over the past year and I find it as unintuitive as any piece of software I've ever used. I play live as well as craft midi. What DAWs have you had success with?
Most Common Trailer Music Mistakes
Hey everyone, couldn't hold back and finally recorded a video about this topic. I have worked with many composers so far and listen to hundreds of trailer tracks (actually it must be probably over a thousand by now 😅) and almost everyone is exactly doing these same mistakes over and over! Make sure to follow these suggestions, then you will have success in this industry. Your music will be licensed and heard!
