Hey there friends! Wondering if you have some favorite non-epic score you find inspiring. One of my all-time favorites that has always stuck out is Rolfe Kent’s score for the film “Sideways.” The movie is great (the book is FANTASTIC) but Kent’s score really elevates the movie’s nuanced quirkiness with a fun, playful and refreshing score that I still get excited about when the movie comes on. What are some of yours?

Hello my composer friends. 👋🏼 Yesterday I watched the anime movie "your name" and I was so amazed by the music, the leitmotif and every sound. It was made with love and it shows. Animes always have these great melodies and I'm wondering what's the science behind this? How do they write such good melodies without making it chaotic? Whenever I try to do stuff like that I forget the motif or I make it too chaotic and for me it doesn't sound right. Creating a base melody so emotional, with many notes and different interfering keys is so impressive by this genre. The other funny thing is, I can't watch a movie without analysing the sound😂 But I'm sure I'm not the only one ☝🏼. It's also getting fun to recognize patterns and all that stuff. Btw whoever is interested in animes or soundtracks in that genre and didn't watch this . It's a must watch. A 100% recommend, you won't regret it.

Hi guys, Any Logic users here want to weigh in on the best way to export my stems and edits at a uniformly normalized -6db? Not sure how to set this up when exporting them and thought someone here using the same DAW have a system. Thanks in advance!
