LFG Kanam! New Carrousel drop with over 12 THOUSAND LIKES! ☀️
I know Kanam won't make this post herself, so I'm going to make it for her. She just made a Carousel post about 48 hours ago, and within that time, it's already passed 12,000 likes, which is fucking crazy!! I'll include a link here to show you guys what the Carousel post example looks like. It's nothing fancy; there's no secret to it. It's just a really strong hook with wonderful delivery and a beautiful mixture of Kanam. Also, give Kanam a huge shout-out. This is a big win for her, especially since it's extremely aligned with her personal brand and not some cheap trend that is going to pass in a few weeks. Good job, Kanam; we're all rooting for you!

Holy sh!t it worked
I can barely believe it but... trial reels are in fact, overpowered lol I've been absolutely buried in work for the past 3 weeks straight and I've barely had time to take in how well posting the original video did. I did, however, have time to put together a few of these shorter, simpler "POV -> Real piece" fakeouts daily on trial reels. One of them (Linked here) got over 10K views this morning, and was giving me a consistent stream of followers, so I put it on my main grid and now that video officially has more views and interactions than the original one 😂 Ya'll, I had like 930 followers last week. And the best part is, a TON of these are not only real people, but actual working professional videographers, photographers, venues, and DJs, and I've already gotten a couple promising leads from it. Today has been crazy cause every time I open the app I get like a couple more followers and I still cannot believe it lol It also bears mentioning 2 things: I finally bought into the blue checkmark. I figured since I'm taking this seriously, spending money on it can only fuel wanting to get returns from it. I know this does help my reach inorganically in a way, but I actually suspect it also has more of a psychological effect (ie. this person is fr about their socials). I also have to point out that the videos that do best are the ones I export straight out of the IG edits app, which has been confirmed to boost traffic for now. Either way, I'll keep posting variations of these, I have some other ideas on the way, but in general, this lil experiment has worked much, much better than I anticipated. I'll keep you posted!

IM BACK 2/3
So like I mentioned, I been cooking still even outside of the course and I made some developments on my insta page. I had a few videos go viral - my biggest one having about 800k views now (screenshots old) and it left my monthly visits to my page at 1million- it wasnt art related content, however it still helped me push my content out there and I learnt a few things. It is a win at the end of the day - and its pretty exciting - locally im starting to make somewaves. Some of the things i learnt from this is- artistic content isnt everything- What helped me get this exposure was content pillars and having a sort of funnel: The video i made was shitpost, a meme essentially, which is the viral content- used to get reach and bring in a large influx of new audiences Then, I have my creative work on my page- which showcases my actual creative abilities with editing and what im genuinelly passionate about - editing and vfx Next I have my more personal content which is me talking to the camera or making day in the life videos- which help people see me as a real person outside of just a content creator- the idea is to create rapport Through creating shitpost content ive learnt just how important hooks and storypacing is - which is taught a lot in this course- same principles but a different application. Ultimately ive been learning a lot and ive been really working on my professional and personal brand.
