I’ve been thinking a lot about what I actually want this place to be.
And the more I think about it, the less complicated it gets.
Most guys I know aren’t completely falling apart. They’re just carrying a shitload and getting pretty good at pretending it’s fine.
Work is busy. Money is tight. Kids need you. Your relationship needs attention. Your body probably needs some attention too. You’ve got stuff in your head you keep saying you’ll deal with later.
So you just keep going.
Get up. Go to work. Deal with whatever fire is burning that day. Come home. Try to be present. Go to bed. Do it again.
And eventually you start realizing something feels off.
Maybe you’re more pissed off than usual. Maybe you’re exhausted all the time. Maybe you’re checked out at home. Maybe you’ve stopped doing the things that used to make you feel like yourself.
Nothing is necessarily “wrong.”
But you know you’re not operating the way you want to be.
That’s the guy I want this place to help.
Not because he needs fixing. Not because he needs someone telling him how to live his life.
Sometimes you just need a place where you can say, “Alright, here’s where I’m at,” without having to bullshit anybody.
Then figure out what needs work.
Could be your health. Could be your marriage. Could be work. Could be your head. Could just be that you’ve been running on autopilot for way too long.
That’s what I want us doing here.
Talking about real shit. Calling ourselves out when we need to. Helping each other get unstuck. Actually doing something with the conversations we’re having instead of collecting another bunch of information we never use.
That’s where I want Anchored and Ready to go.
Nothing fancy.
Just good men trying to get their shit together, keep it together, and show up better for the people and things that matter to them.
That feels a hell of a lot closer to what I wanted this place to be from the start.
Stay anchored. Keep going.
