Defensive Positions
These are the THREE body positions we get to on defense: 1. Ready Position : the body position achieved before the ball is hit, in general, the closer the defender is to the hitter, the lower and wider they are. 2. Fielding Position: the body position achieved when a defender is fielding/catching the ball, it is dependent on the type of ball hit, the position played , and the defensive situation. 3. Throwing Position: the body position achieved when a defender is prepared to throw, this can also changed based on the position played and defensive situation.

The body position a player gets to during rotation where the barrel is parallel to the ground, the hips and back foot are fully turned to the pitcher, the back elbow is under the back wrist and the hands are in tight to the back shoulder. 2. A description of how close or far the hands are to the back shoulder of a hitter during rotation.
