Hey team, I opened my Youtube channel as "Dova MusiQ" with an idea of creating a male and female artists where I would upload videos for both. After my first male artist song released today, I realized DistroKid created a new Youtube Channel for him as a separate account. My female Artist songs are coming up next week and I've already uploaded two videos of her on my Dova MusiQ YT channel and have traction/views. So Distrokid will create her own youtube channel next week. My question is... should I convert my Youtube Channel to my female artist and claim the OAC channel Then claim my male artists later as a separate Youtube channel? Should I keep my DovaMusiQ channel as is , marketing both artists through it but knowing DistroKid created separate two Youtube accounts for them? What about other social media platforms? I already created Insta & TikTok as "DovaMusiQ". Please help me understand best approach. My female artist is crucial as I have 4-5 songs and videos lined up and don't know how to connect all these profiles together. Thanks

We blew up quickly but have been plateauing for almost 2 months at 42K-43K streams. I plan to tweak keywords in upcoming and past releases. Any other suggestions? (We already use Hypeddit to promote a playlist of our music. EDIT for clarification: I accidentally omitted a very important piece of info. This is Spotify as it is the only platform where it is possible to promote and also I already had access to our Spotify For Artists profile.

What's up, guys? I wanted to ask how you're reacting to the recent events. What have you decided for yourselves—are you going to change your distributor or not? It's probably better not to release your albums through DistroKid after all, since you can end up dealing with unpaid royalties or delays. Honestly, it's better to switch to another distributor and just upload your albums there instead, right? What do you say? What do you think about this?

The new line in my Distrokid Bank: "They will hit your DistroKid Bank as soon as we get them." That does not sound very hopefully for the September royalties 🤨 if would have expected something like "we're processing them." Or something. So strange that we don't get told why YouTube is withholding payment to Distrokid specific... I know a lot of you are waiting on YouTube royalties so I thought I share this with you🙏

Im courious about how long it took you guys to actually start making money of an artist, Im a beginner currently almost 60 videos deep and I dont know if I am doing good or bad lol. Can you guys share your stories of how long it took you to blow up and if so did you blow up on an old song or new releases, maybe blew up in social media or shorts?
