Why I was nervous about moving WordPress to Astro/GitHub/Cloudflare

The hesitancy I had over WordPress to Astro/GitHub/Cloudflare

Ironically it wasn't the build that worried me, it was how it would actually *look*.

With WordPress we're all used to 'Themes', and I'm no exception. I've changed how my site looks over the years and never been quite happy with it, until more recently.

So I've been chipping away at it today with Fable. I've been switching between Opus and Fable, giving the more complex stuff to Fable. It built the homepage for me to check first, and I was astounded. It's an exact copy of my current site, down to the smallest detail. I was like, what?!

I'm not sure what I was expecting, but I'm naturally quite cynical 🙃. There's not a single part of the layout it's got wrong. It's carried over all my embeds perfectly, Senja, Ko-fi, the lot.

Turns out the thing I was most worried about was the thing it did best. Now onto all the other pages!
